Ben is a passionate business and product developer driven by the need to find practical solutions to real consumer problems. He was one of the founding members of VF Corporation's Global Innovation Center, and led innovation research & testing for brands like The North Face, Timberland and Vans. He also led the wearable technology exploratory group within VF Corp. Previous to that, Ben co-founded and led Sensible Baby to both national and international recognition for helping to usher in wearable technology to the juvenile products space. Prior to that, Ben was the Lead Footwear Project Engineer for the US Army and managed all of the technical aspects of their footwear programs. While in that role, he successfully led the fast-pace multi-million dollar development effort of the US Army’s Hot Weather Mountain Combat Boot program that supported the unique needs for deploying soldiers to Afghanistan.
Ben is currently the Managing Director of IoClothes, a boutique consulting firm dedicated to bridging the gap between technology companies and the apparel and footwear industry. He is also an Advisor Board Member to Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim Business School, Entrepreneurship Career Track.
Ben received a B.S. in Biomedical Physics from Northeastern University ('07) and M.S. in Biomechanics with high distinction from Boise State University ('09).
